SHANGHAI, Nov 6, 2020 -- KPMG today announced the release of KPMG China's First Future 50 Chiptech Companies List and China's Future 50 Chiptech Companies Report at the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE). In order to promote the development of China's chip industry and to support the growth of companies in this field, KPMG China has established the Future 50 Chiptech Companies list. During the selection process, KPMG assembled external experts from government, enterprises, academia, research institutes, society and investment institutions, as well as KPMG partners with professional experience in the field, to form a selection committee to visit the high-growth enterprises in China's chip industry that are dedicated to the growth of communication terminals and networks, sensing systems, digital processing and logic applications, as well as physical applications of the Internet of Things. Visits to more than 300 companies, interviews with senior executives and 600+ hours of questionnaire survey were conducted to comprehensively evaluate the participating companies from six dimensions, including technology, team, product, business model, market and finance. 50 non-listed emerging semiconductor companies with outstanding achievements in the above-mentioned fields, including 5G communication, artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, Internet of Things and other application domains, were finally selected. Vastai Technologies was shortlisted based on its strong capabilities in the field of high-performance vision chips and its good reputation in the industry.
